October Board Meeting

A meeting of the WSU Board was held on October 26th, 2018 in the MSA office at Cranton Crossroads Community Center in Northeast Margaree. It was reported that a letter sent to the Regional Director General of DFO had not been responded to.

A new project to do extensive habitat restoration work on the SW Mabou river will soon be applying to WSU for funding. President Wall indicated that we will need a complete plan including projected cost as well as a list of other funding participants including government..

It was suggested that we review our by-laws to accommodate current members to serve longer due to the difficulties in recruiting new candidates

Wall suggested we link up with other groups to see where we can help and evaluate the work they are doing. We should target the St. Mary's group and visit with them in the near future.

A decision to donate $300 to the MSA for the use of their facilities for our meetings was approved as was the wavering of the $200 annual fee we charge ISAA for membership.

The next meeting will be at the call of the chair.
